S&L Photos – Salt & Light

We are two friends, connected by a simple passion: to see the world with open eyes and to share what we see with others.

What started as a small personal project soon became something bigger — a quiet mission to capture the overlooked, to notice the beauty hiding in both familiar and forgotten places. We take photos not only with cameras or iPhones, but with our time, our attention, and our hearts.

The images you find here come from all across Southeast Asia — not just from grand cities or famous landmarks, but also from remote villages, narrow alleys, quiet temples, dusty roads, bustling markets, and places where tourists seldom go. We document people, yes, but also landscapes, objects, architecture, rituals, ruins, rooftops, silence and sound — whatever stirs something in us.

Every photo here carries a journey behind it — sometimes a long walk, sometimes a long wait.
We’ve climbed, wandered, returned, and tried again — all so that we might catch a moment worth keeping, and worth sharing.

This website is our way of opening a window —
